A 33-year-old Opelika man was arrested Wednesday after investigators with the LaFayette Police Department determined he had falsely reported an armed robbery at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in LaFayette earlier this month.
Stabbing suspect surrenders to police
Charles Micah Ledbetter, 26, of Auburn turned himself in at the Opelika Police Department at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday on warrants charging him with attempted murder, assault second degree and burglary first degree.
Suspect sought in brutal knife attack
Lee County investigators are still searching for a man wanted in a brutal knife attack.
